SICCI-DBS Singapore Indian Entrepreneur Awards

Launched in 2004, the SICCI-DBS Singapore Indian Entrepreneur Awards are presented annually by the SICCI to recognise outstanding Indian entrepreneurs and to serve as a motivation for budding Indian entrepreneurs.

The key objectives of the Awards are to recognise and reward the best entrepreneurs in the Indian business community in Singapore. By showcasing leading Indian entrepreneurs and businesses in Singapore, the contemporary entrepreneurial spirit within the Indian community is highlighted.

They are also an important medium to inspire other Singaporean Indians to undertake the entrepreneurship path and enhance the visibility of Indian entrepreneurs and businesses in Singapore.

SICCI-DBS Singapore-India Business Award

The SICCI-DBS Singapore-India Business Award was launched in 2007 to recognise the efforts of an eminent personality who has stepped forward to foster Singapore-India bilateral business and investment. Focusing especially on the achievements over the two decades since India initiated its economic reforms, the Award seeks to highlight the efforts of those who have championed the exemplary advantages of Singapore-India relations and have helped fellow businessmen in the community to also succeed in the region. Based on nomination, the candidate must be of high standing in society and a proven track record of tangible contributions to the growth of bilateral commercial ties between Singapore and India.

He or she must have more than 15 years of experience while holding positions of honour and prestige. At the same time, he or she must be recognised for his or her contributions to both the Singaporean and Indian societies. Lastly, he or she serves as a role model to fellow businessmen and has stepped forward to share his or her experiences and best practices with fellow members in the community.

SICCI-DBS India Enterprise Award

Launched in 2010, the SICCI-DBS India Enterprise Award is presented to an Indian* company registered in Singapore that has made significant contributions to and a positive impact on Singapore's socio-economic development.

Demonstrating exceptional drive, vision and commitment, the company has been able to develop relevant initiatives which have actively supported Singapore's growth and progress. The recipient of the Award must have consistently show growth and progress through exceptional business practices. It must have developed strategic partnerships and made significant investment in Singapore. It must also have an innovative work environment with a multicultural workforce. At the same time, it must have exercised professional corporate management and practised exemplary corporate social responsibility, with contributions to committees and/or organisations in Singapore.

* Indian company refers a company with origins in India and is classified as a foreign business with operations in Singapore.
