SICCI held its 71st Annual General Meeting and Dinner Reception on 24 April 2012. Mr Heng Swee Keat, Minister for Education, Singapore, graced the dinner reception as the Guest-of-Honour. More than 150 SICCI members and guests attended the reception.

The High Commission of Malaysia in Singapore organised a dinner and networking session with the SICCI Board of Directors on 29 March 2012 at the High Commissioner’s official residence.

SICCI, through its Professional Sub-committee launched the 'Ministerial Dialogue' series on 22 March 2012. The distinguished speaker, for the inaugural series, sponsored by BSI Bank Limited, Singapore was Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister for Finance and Minister for Manpower.

SICCI, in collaboration with RSM Chio Lim LLP, organised the seminar on ‘Singapore Budget 2012 – Highlights’. The session discussed the key budget announcements and what these meant for Singapore companies and SICCI members.

SICCI and the Singapore Academy of Law organised the seminar on ‘Singapore – The Region’s Business Hub’ on 22 February 2012. The seminar saw eminent speakers sharing their views on Singapore as the gateway to the region, new markets and new opportunities in India as well as the challenges and options for resolving business disputes.

The seminar witnessed industry players presenting on the global economic outlook for 2012 as well as on business and investment prospects for India, Southeast Asia and Singapore.
