Jeyakumar Janakaraj leads Adani Global Pte Ltd, the regional headquarters of the Adani Group in India. Fondly known as JJ, he is a veteran leader who has successfully built and managed large-scale infrastructure projects and businesses spanning wide geographical locations from India, Africa, Australia and Singapore for over two decades.
JJ has been with the Adani Group since 2013 when he took the helm in Australia in 2013. He moved to Adani Global in Singapore taking over the development of business and operations in the region in 2018 and has also been steering AdaniConneX on course to empower digital India with 1 GW of data center capacity since 2020.
Prior to joining the Adani Group, JJ carved an 18-year career holding various senior-level management roles with Sterlite Industries.
A firm believer in harnessing phenomenal growth through harmonising a multicultural workforce, some of JJ’s other notable achievements include leveraging on technology and people empowerment in accelerating project timelines as well as delivering innovative concepts to optimise operations. Through his expert guidance, JJ has led metals and technology companies through significant expansion, growth and financial performance.
JJ was selected for 100 Inspirational Leaders of Asia 2022 and his other accolades include the Gold Medal by the Indian Institute of Metals for his significant contribution to the non-ferrous metallurgical industry, the DEMAG Gold medal for innovative leadership by the Indian Institute of Metals and has been listed in the prestigious International Who’s Who of Professionals. JJ also sits on the Accenture Global Mining Executive Council.
